Offshore World Champions from Turkey Received Their Trophies in Monaco

Istanbul Offshore Club’s pilots Alpay Akdilek and Kerem Tuncer of team Stihl received their World Championship trophies in Monaco where Istanbul Offshore Club received an award for its environmental activities with the Carbon Zero initiative.

International Motonautique Federation (U.I.M.) held the Award Ceremony for the 2011 season at Monaco’s famous venue Salle des Etoiles where World Champions from around the world received their trophies in the Offshore, Pleasure Navigation, Aquabike, and Circuit categories. 2011 Isiklar World Offshore 225 Champions Alpay Akdilek and Kerem Tuncer of team Stihl received their World Championship trophies from Andrea Dini, UIM Secretary General during the event where 80 World Champions from 25 countries also received their trophies.

“Stefano Casiraghi Memorial Trophy” awarded annually by UIM and 2011 UIM Environment Awards were also presented during the event that took place with the attendance of approximately 500 VIP guests.
Istanbul Offshore Club was awarded the “Green Diploma” as the first organizer to bring the “Carbon Zero” certification to International Motonautique Federation in the 2011 season.

Enver Oral, President of Turkish Developing Sports Federation, and Ugur Isik, the Federation’s Vice President, Istanbul Offshore Club President and UIM Board Member, as well as World Offshore 225 Champions Alpay Akdilek and Kerem Tuncer along with their families were present at the event which was attended by an extended Turkish delegation.
In this prestigious evening, President Ugur Isik also presented the trophies to the winners of the classes in the U.I.M. World Circuit Championship.
