The tough competition between YKM Sport and GSYİAD Galatasaray during the Architon 2010 World Offshore Championship race hosted by Fatih Municipality held on Saturday, October 3 was breathtaking. After running neck and neck throughout the race, 2 YKM Sport piloted by Saruhan Tan and Kerim Zorlu won by two seconds.

Another fierce competition similar to YKM Sport and GSYİAD Galatasaray teams went on between Beşiktaş and Olympique De Marseille. The experienced pilots Ali Tanır and Murat Leki were challenged by Jerome Brarda and Hamdi Kitapçı of Olympique De Marseille.

Despite cloudy weather and occasional showers, the teams displayed very enjoyable performances. The race was very exciting to watch with teams chasing one another. The 20-lap Fatih Municipality Grand Prix 2 race took place with the participation of 9 teams and ended with the victory of 2 YKM Sport piloted by Saruhan Tan and Kerim Zorlu. The team was followed by 5 GSYİAD Galatasaray with Berna-Josef Muhlbauer couple in second place and 3 Beşiktaş with Ali Tanır and Murat Leki in third. State-of-the art technology boats with their modern designs make 90 mph and they roared in the Holden Horn with their powerful engines. Uğur Işık, President of Istanbul Offshore Club thanked Mustafa Demir, Mayor of Fatih, for his support to the championship. Işık stated that they would continue with the championship despite all the hardships they experienced and added that their strength came from the harmony among the racing team, pilots and sponsors.

According to the information taken from authorities at Adana, Adana Grand Prix cancelled.

The 17th and 18th races of Architon World Offshore Championship will be organized at Istanbul.
